Do you want to manage your bookkeeping but aren’t sure how to get started? Then don’t miss out when BookSmarts visits the Barrie Small Business Centre (GBBEC) on November 25, 2015 to present two great learning opportunities.
In the morning, the “Bookkeeping for Small Businesses” seminar is a presentation/discussion format where youwe will explore the various challenges and opportunities faced when setting up a small business bookkeeping system. We will go over Financial Statement basics, HST rules, home office deduction, records retention and what to look for in a bookkeeper as well as great tips for managing your own bookkeeping.
In the afternoon, have your laptop handy and get ready for a hands on workshop “Let’s Get Started with QuickBooks Online™”. This workshop will be facilitated by a professional accountant and software expert from BookSmarts. By the end of the afternoon, you will have a working company file and will be able to record invoices, expenses and more! For best results, if your business is already operating it is recommended that you bring a 3-5 actual customer invoices or daily POS reports and 5-10 expense receipts. You must provide your own laptop computer with access to your email.
